Randall L. Snook, MD
Internal Medicine

Dr. Snook is a native of Colorado who grew up in the small town of Alamosa in Southern Colorado. He attended Colorado State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and Biology in 1983. After a year of graduate school in Neuroscience at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, he entered and graduated with his M.D. in 1990 from the University of Texas system. His internship was at University of Missouri, Columbia, and finished his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of New Mexico where he also finished a Fellowship in Gerontology in 1995. He has practiced medicine in the Denver area since then.

Dr. Snook's special interests include diet and exercise and their critical role in overall health as well as Sports Medicine for the active patient. He also specializes in cholesterol management, diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and other lung problems, cardiology and Dermatologic diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Snook is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Eligible in Gerontology. He also has certification in the use of acupuncture for pain management.

Dr. Snook is married and has three children. He enjoys time with his family, exercising, camping, playing golf and working around the home. He is an avid skier and previous ski instructor at Wolf Creek Ski Area in Southern Colorado and enjoys all sports.

 

Dennis L. Furr, D.O.
Family Practice

Dennis Furr was born and raised in Southern California. He lived in Cardiff, California and later moved to Riverside where he attended Loma Linda University. He majored in Psychology and Biology and graduated with a BA degree. Dennis went on to Kansas City, MO where he attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and graduated from medical school after moving to Denver. Dr. Furr is board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Furr has practiced medicine in Southeast Denver for over 20 years. His interests are not limited but include nutrition, sports medicine and lipid management. He enjoys adolescent medicine as well. His other interests include involvement with medical mission work here and abroad.

Dr. Furr is married and has two daughters. His family life keeps him quite busy and he enjoys activities in the mountains or on the beach when time allows. He enjoys jogging and has finished first place in numerous jogging events. These are when jogging alone however!

 

Carrie Hunter, R.D.
Registered Dietitian

Carrie is a Registered Dietitian, a nutrition educator and consultant who specializes in human nutrition and wellness for both the adult and pediatric populations. She recieved her undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics from the University of Northern Colorado. She then went on to complete her dietetic internship through the Tri-County Health Department in Colorado.

Carrie is an active member of the American Dietetic Association and has been involved with the public health sector, private nutrition consulting and weight loss research for the past 12 years. Carrie is dedicated to educating individuals about proper nutrition and also strives to help them overcome barriers to success by offering personalized nutrition counseling to help promote lifestyle changes for better health.

Carrie is a native of Colorado, and has recently learned how to ski. She enjoys reading, hiking and photography. She also enjoys spending time with her spouse of 17 years, Jeff, and her two sons Caden and Evan.

 

Dina Elias, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Dina Elias is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with adults in medical and private practice settings. She earned her Doctorate of Psychology from the University of Denver and has provided clinical services at National Jewish Hospital, Kaiser, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and East-West Health Center. She has also taught and supervised at the University of Colorado-Denver.

Dr. Elias specializes in health psychology to positively impact health and enhance quality of life, stress management to cope and bounce back more readily from life situations, and individual counseling to clarify and address personal issues.

Dr. Elias is married and has lived in Colorado for 16 years. She enjoys the proximity to the mountains and taking advantage of the many outdoor activities possible in Colorado.

 

Jennifer Kjar Hepp, D.O.
Family Medicine

Dr. Hepp is originally from Lexington, NE where she attended an old-fashioned 2 room school house. This small-town perspective has shaped her despite growing up in metro Denver. She grew up in Jefferson County, graduating from Bear Creek High School.

Dr. Hepp attended Northeast Missouri State University and received a BS in Biology with a minor in Child Development. While in Kirksville she was introduced to the world of Osteopathic Medicine for the first time and after graduation from NMSU she moved across town to attend Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She graduated in 1997 and was married the same week to her husband John.

Dr. Hepp returned to the Denver area for Internship in Family Medicine, beginning at Aurora Presbyterian Hospital and then heading to Colorado Springs for Residency at the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation. After 2 years of commuting to the Springs, she happily settled down in what is now Centennial.

Dr. Hepp has been practicing in southeast Denver for over 8 years. She enjoys treating the entire family and the preventative care aspects that allows. She has special interests in women's medicine and adolescent care and performs Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) to address bony, muscular, and tissue alignment to assist in the self healing properties of the body.

 

Jodie Schoenholtz, PA-C
Family Medicine

Jodie Schoenholtz has more than 18 years of health care experience in various patient care settings. Her background includes both military and civilian service. She began her career in 1990 as a US Navy Hospital Corpsman where she treated Navy and Marine Corps personnel and their families at Camp Pendleton, CA and Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA. In 1994, she separated from active duty but continued her military career in the US Naval Reserves supporting Fleet Hospital 23, Field Medical Unit as a combat medical technician. She completed her obligation in 2000.

Jodie grew up in Southeastern Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for undergraduate training in 1995. While pursuing her degree, she worked as a multi-specialty medical assistant at Dean Medical Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Her physician assistant training was completed in 2000 at Des Moines University-Osteopathic Medical School and Health Sciences. Since then, she has been dedicated to providing the highest quality health care in Denver metro area. Her outpatient medical interests span the pediatric through geriatric populations, inclusive of preventative medicine, disease management and urgent care.

In her personal time, Jodie enjoys spending time traveling with her husband Phil. They also enjoy raising their two Boxers, Kylie and Uli, as well as their two cats, Parker and Sherbert.

 

Teresa Heisser, FNP-C, MSN
Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Teresa Heisser is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in integrative medicine and a passion for treating endocrine and hormonal disorders. She has more than 15 years of experience in various patient care settings. Originally from Hawaii, Teresa received her first bachelor's degree from San Diego State University in Sports Medicine. Teresa then moved to Colorado in 1989 to attend the physical therapy program at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Teresa began her medical career in 1991 as a physical therapist. Teresa's desire to provide additional care for her patients prompted her to return to school to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner. Teresa received both her BSN/RN and subsequent MSN/FNP at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

While providing primary care for men and women, Teresa specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex conditions including fatigue, endocrine disorders, and hormonal and neurotransmitter imbalances. She has successfully addressed the complex needs of patients with metabolic syndrome/insulin resistance, diabetes, thyroid disorders, PCOS, menstrual irregularities, menopause, and mood disorders.

Teresa's philosophy of care utilizes the functional medicine model of assessing the whole person to determine the underlying cause of illness, addressing both health promotion as well as disease management. She has achieved successful outcomes by incorporating advanced laboratory testing, evidenced-based nutritional therapies, and bioidentical hormone replacement medication into the patient's medical management, along with traditional pharmaceutical interventions.

In her personal time, Teresa likes spending time with her husband of 19 years. She enjoys hiking and snow-shoeing in the beautiful Colorado mountains, but has recently been focusing on her new hobby: Boxing! Teresa has been taking classes in both boxing and kick-boxing. Teresa states she has developed a new appreciation for the sport, and hopes she can convince her husband to someday take her to see MMA fight!
